From age to age; the everlasting Father; the King of Glory makes Himself known to His children according to His will and purpose. Because His ways are past finding out; the Almighty God being the Ancient of Days had already lived in the year 2009 before its manifestation. In His infinite mercies; He divinely reveals and describes what will be as year succeeds to year.
The year 2009 is a year of manifestation of his promises as personified in His nature. Manifestation means to make something clear or abundant. This means God’s glory will be more evident and purposes more defined and clearer in the lives of His children throughout the year. The word manifestation has to be activated by an attitude of readiness and preparation. For instance in 2 Kings 3:16-17; there was no water for the army until ditches were dug. In 2 Kings 4:3-4; there was no oil until the vessels were gathered. In 2 Kings 5:10; there was no healing until Naaman, the leper, dipped himself into River Jordan seven times as prescribed by the Prophet. In Isaiah 40:3; Jesus Christ was not made manifest until the way was prepared by John the Baptist. In Joel 2:12-13; there is no reconciliation without repentance. In Revelation 7:13-14; no entrance into heaven without cleansing. This means you must work very hard to maintain your vessel in holiness and righteousness: to fulfill all righteousness and meet all divine requirements.
The Lord spoke expressly that He will reveal Himself to His children as their REDEEMER. What a powerful word! The work of redemption involves the process of buying back, ransoming, recovering something by paying a price, deliverance from enslavement of sin and release to a new freedom in Jesus Christ. This is evidently assuring every believer that they will live as over comers in the year 2009 because Jesus Christ already finished the work. The Almighty God is a high and strong tower sheltering His children from the enemy (Ps.61:3). To refresh your memory; listed below are some of the things you have been redeemed from:
• Curse of the law (Ga. 3:13)
• Bondage of the law (Ga. 4:5)
• Affliction (Na. 1:9)
• All iniquities (Ps. 130:8)
• Enemies (Ps. 136:24)
• Destruction (Ps. 103:4)
• Death and grave (Hos. 13:14)
• The Wicked and the terrible (Jer. 15:21)
• Sorrow and mourning (Is 51:11)
• The house of bondage (De. 7:8)
• All adversity (2 S. 4:9)
• All distresses (1 K. 1:29)
• All troubles (Ps. 25:22)
• Desolation (Ps. 34:22)
• The strong man (Jer. 31:11)
• The house of servants (Mi. 6:4)
• Vain conversation (1 Pet. 1:18)
• Fear and hard bondage (Is, 14:3)
• The present evil world (Ga. 1:4)
• Sicknesses and diseases (3 Jn. 2)
• Fear and oppression (Is. 41:10)
• Barrenness (Is. 66:9)
It is very important that you do a thorough study of God’s word to enable you apply these words to every situation of your life. I commend this scripture to all those who believe that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the work of Redemption: “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14). My prayer is that you will see your life as embodied in the complete work of redemption and that you will live as a peculiar person who is zealous for good works in Jesus name (Amen)
It is divinely required for believers to labor much in the Lord in this year 2009 as reward will also be commensurable to service. The harvest field is plentiful and laborers must no longer be few as you dedicate and consecrate yourself as one of the laborers in God’s vineyard. This is a year to do great exploits for the Lord according to Daniel 11:32. Great exploits means you will do notable and heroic deeds. Believers are warned never to be against the holy covenant of God which means you must not grieve the Holy Spirit. It is mandatory for believers to obey 2 Chronicles 7:14 and pray for leaders and nations especially the new President of the United States of America – President Barak Obama and his household.
As you endeavor to do your part; you will earn yourself all the blessings attached to the year 2009 and your life will showcase God’s glory and beauty. This is a glorious year and you have been brought out of the miry clay to a place of spiritual luxury, magnificence and comfort. You must endeavor to run away from all appearances of evil and stand upon your watch to ensure that you did not get yourself distracted or disconnected from the holy covenant.
Listed below are some of the scriptures you should stand on throughout the year 2009:
