Mark of Perfection

In the world today many people say that it is impossible to be perfect. However I was pondering on this and the Bible says in Matthew 5:48: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.” So after reading this passage, I came to the realization that it is the will and purpose of God for us, His children, to be perfect. It is the grace of God in a man’s life that will keep him abiding in that realm of perfection. The Bible says in Jude vs. 24: Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,”, after reading this, it is for us to know that it is imperative for us to maintain that connection with the Holy Spirit because it is him that will allow us to attain that mark of perfection. A lot of Christians ask God to perfect all that which concerns them, however most of the time they are only referring to their finances, their children, their job, their health etc. I believe that every true Child of God should also render a prayer of perfection of character and spirit.

The Lord expects each of His children to live that lifestyle that is acceptable in His sight, and most children of God whenever they go to church pray that their expectation concerning the meeting will not be cut off. I also believe that every Child of God should pray that God’s expectation concerning them will not cut off by His grace. The Bible says in Luke 12:48: “To whom much is given, much is expected.”  We all have been given so much by God even regardless of whether or not we are still waiting on the Lord for something; the mere fact that we are alive today is indeed a blessing. So the least we can do as God’s children is to live that life of perfection that the Lord expects of us. The Lord wants us all as His children to impact the lives of those around us for good, however if the Lord does not see that we are living justly and uprightly, then this task will never be fulfilled. It is not that we will never do anything wrong, however the key is to get hooked up with the Holy Spirit and by His grace we will attain that level of perfection.

Prayer:  Lord, in this season of perfection, I pray that you will perfect my spiritual life so that I can become a powerful tool to be used for your glory!

God bless
