Isaiah 14:13- “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”
Psalm 48:1-2- “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.”
Psalm 50:2- “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.”
The devil has a plan for all of our lives to exalt himself above the throne of God. When he said that he will attain to the sides of the north, he was making reference to the place that God takes in every child of God’s life. We cannot exonerate the devil into that position by partaking in various sins that are devilish and not Christ like. When we do sin, we are giving the devil that position in our lives, and the devil is then able to manipulate the glory of God in your life. Psalm 50:2 says that it is out of Zion that God has shined, so it is our duty to be in right standing with God so that the devil cannot steal or darken the light of God in our lives nor allow him to shine. That Mount Zion in every Child of God’s life should be an untouchable domain.
It is a part of our duty as children of the Kingdom of God to ensure and constantly check who has assumed authority in that area of our lives. Some of the problems that children of God face today are because they have not been able to overcome certain sins and therefore the devil is still able to lay claim on their lives because they have a familiar spirit with him, he is then able to alter the glory of God in their lives into something that will fit his purpose. So it is up to you to take a stand and ask God for the grace to overcome sin and to take back your authority as a Child of God and let the Lord alone rule and reign in your life.
